To expand on our cultivation team, we are looking for a:

Cultivation Specialist (ft)

Will you be the person who creates the optimal growing conditions for our plants using the latest techniques?

We are looking for a colleague with a passion for plants; someone with a green thumb who will work with us to make the Kalanchoe even more successful. In addition to a good working atmosphere, quality is paramount in the company. That is why we control the entire process from breeding to final product. We are looking for someone who wants to help build an innovative cultivation process. As a cultivation employee you work independently.

The function
You will ensure that the different varieties of Kalanchoe grow optimally from cutting to harvest. You work in a fully automated greenhouse with Bosman-Van Zaal systems. You determine the settings for watering, the climate in the greenhouse (by means of Priva) and the (LED) lighting. Together with your team, you also prepare a varying nutrient recipe and are responsible for (biological) crop protection. Using the latest camera techniques and sensors in combination with artificial intelligence, you predict plant growth.

We ask:

•     A completed mbo or college education
•     Interest in sustainable and innovative cultivation
•     Affinity with the floriculture sector
•     A crop protection license
•     Accurate, flexible, practical and communicative skills
•     Ability to work well both independently and in a team
•     You are not afraid to take responsibility
•     You are enthusiastic and eager to learn
